Description
Obtained by selective reduction of 4-chloro benzophenone, 4-chloro benzhydrol carries the activated benzylic hydroxyl that is converted to the benzhydryl chloride and alkylated onto piperazine to deliver the chiral pharmacophore of cetirizine and levocetirizine.
